New Agaves

This week I was able to find two new Agaves for my collection, they both have dramatic variegation and will be given pride of place in my Agave Theatre this Spring.

Agave lophanta variegata 'Quadricolor'

Agave schidigera 'Shira ito no ohi'

Both plants transplanted into nice hand-thrown pots.

Excellent agaves! Do you sell tickets to this "agave theatre?"

Lovely Agaves. I was at Belgian today looking for Agave parryi - but nothing under $60! I was looking to start small. Decided to start a fern collection instead!

Hi Barry,

I was rather disappointed with Belgian Nursery, have you tried Jade Garden north of Oakville on Trafalgar road? Actually, many of my best Agaves have been rescue plants from Home Depot and supermarkets.

As for choosing between Ferns and Agaves, I think you should have both!
